Requirements for Practical Work

As part of the Occupational Health and Safety Act students are required to wear the following items to every practical lesson:-

. closed in black leather shoes

. ankle length socks (no socket's)

. full length clean white fabric apron (the Industrial Arts apron is not permitted)

Café Hospitality students will be operating a Café during Terms 2 and 3 where they will be preparing and serving espresso coffee, non-alcoholic beverages and food items. These areas relate to the unit of competencies in the Food and Beverage course. The purchase of the espresso machine will allow students to develop their skills in coffee making and potentially gain some casual work in Hospitality Industry.

Commercial Kitchen Upgrade In June - we will see the upgrade of one of the Food Technology laboratories to a commercial standard. This will allow Hospitality students to work in a realistic environment with appropriate industry equipment.
