Acceleration program for senior GATS students begins in 2008

The GATS program at LHS is now in full swing. Several senior students have applied to participate in the University of Newcastle’s acceleration program for Gifted and Talented students. This program allows them to complete a 1st year university course in a range of subjects while they are still at school. The courses are delivered at Merewether High School by University lecturers with outstanding students from local schools attending. The program offers the students the opportunity to kick-start their University studies while helping to fulfil their academic potential. Good luck to those students who have applied.
